Post Brexit Transition - What is the EU status?

Well it has been 2 months since the UK left the EU.

So far we have Northern Ireland Assembly politicians trying to have the Northern Ireland Protocol removed. We have had the EU trying to enforce Article 16 to put trade blocs on supply of COVID vaccines to Northern Ireland, which created absolute uproar.

Suppose we can say it has been eventful, not mentioned changing of customs procedures, and UK traders use to new customs controls when selling goods to the EU.

Well on the bright side we have a provisionally agreed Trade Cooperation Agreement, which facilitates trade betwen the UK and EU members states.

The EU has also recently published a response to 57 pending questions regarding the post Brexit world regarding Tax and Customs.

It is imperative that Traders are aware of updates published so they can guide their import and export operations effectivly.

However, this is not the end of the road, and Britain’s future relationship with the EU is not entirely settled yet. Many rounds of negotiations between European and British officials – under less media attention but without disappearing entirely – will need to take place over the coming years.
